My first pair of Levis.

31 January 2009

I bought my first pair of Levis jeans today! First time getting such an expensive pair of jeans, kind of feel very heart-broken to part with my money, even though I did trade in a old pair of jeans, so I got a $50 discount off.

Want to know what happen when I got home?

I was admiring at the jeans, then I notice the opening of the left leg where the stitches should be, "Ehh... How come can flip open?"

Very calmly... I took the right leg opening to compare, right side got stitch, left side no stitch. -_-" No kidding! One whole round of stitch nicely gone, not even a trace of it!

Can't believe it! Levis is branded and this kind of thing actually happen. I told you Year 2009 is a very bad year for me, even though it is the Year of the Ox. Haiz~ Bad luck, bad luck.

Huat ah!

27 January 2009

We did Lo Hei today! I think this is the best Lo Hei I even had, I am going to get Lo Hei from Ikea next year too.

I love the salmon slices and the taste was just right, yum yum...

Happy Birthday to Daddy!

26 January 2009

Went to Ikea Tampines with sis. Not bad, very little people, hahaha! Should come again during next Chinese New Year.

We shared a hotdog and curry puffs for dinner and then we had desserts at the restaurant.

Princess Cake, $3.00. This is ice cream cake, delicious and not too sweet.

Arrak rolls aka Dammsugare aka vaccum cleaners, only $1.00. Has got marzipan and liqueur, sis don't like the taste of it.

I bought a set of Lo Hei to bring home which only cost me $8, it includes a pack of salmon too. Very worth it! Got a lucky draw, so I got 1 and guess what did I get?

One complimentary drink! -_-"

I found a cake from their food store! I needed to get a cake urgently for my daddy's birthday and I could not find one anywhere, since most of the shops are closed during Chinese New Year.

Princess cake for only $9.80, damn worth it! Hahaha, plus it's an ice cream cake. We added the candle and decoration ourselves.

Happy Birthday to Daddy! Hope you stay healthy always, health is always the most important.

Happy Chinese New Year!

25 January 2009

Had steamboat for our reunion lunch. Yeah, lunch not dinner. Hahaha!

Lots of prawns but I can't eat too much, if not the rashes will be back to haunt me.

Fishy Fishy Fishie~

All the different kinds of balls... Meatball, sotongball...

Oysters. Leave the 'best stuffs' for daddy, ya?

Tau kwa skin.

Tofu.

Lots of mushrooms.

Veggies are good for health.

Spinach noodles, I love it!

There's no festive spirit in Singapore. I miss the days celebrating Chinese New Year in Malaysia. Miss the fireworks that we used to play with, I miss all the fun. ='( I don't think I will be able to go back next year too... Haven't been back for 3 years and counting on...

I'm a Astons fan!

24 January 2009

Here's our bill, only $7.00 each. Woohoo~

I was bored while waiting for my food, I even took a picture of the brick wall.

Chilli sauce.

Our glass of ice water.

Crispy Fried Fish, $7.20. Fresh fish right from the sea and marinated with herbs. One word, delicious.

Mashed potato, simple but tasty.

Coleslaw, crispy and cold cabbages. Loving it~

Char grilled chicken, $6.50. Very fragrant and the chicken is tender, comes with mushroom sauce. Woo~ Yummy!

Pasta salad. Just pasta and bell peppers but just nice.

Potato salad, I did say it is a must-have.

I wanted to order tasty rice but they have went out of it again. =( Rahh! I don't care, I'll be back!

Beautiful.

19 January 2009

Just simply beautiful, isn't it? =)

Childhood candies.

I bought some childhood candies from the mini grocery shop. Candies which I will usually buy when I was in primary school.

Whistle candy, $1.00. I can't whistle when I was young, no matter how hard I try, so this candy was really fun! Kind of noisy... lol

The eraser which comes together with the candies. Looks so much like a piece of chocolate, I even kept smelling to make sure it isn't chocolate. Haha!

Choki Chocolate Paste, $0.20, one of my favourites. I will cut a very very small hole, so when I squeeze the chocolate paste out, it will be very thin.

Sorry guys, if you see so many new posts. I'm trying to blog what happened everyday and I'm very busy recently, so I can only blog once per week. I think this will go on until April or May.

Oh well, going off to bed. Oyasumi nasai~

I want more!

17 January 2009

Went to get a brithday present for Daddy afteer work. I bought a 1TB Maxtor External hard disk, I don't think Daddy will need so much memory space, so I will give him my 320GB hard disk instead.

Dinner at Komala's, Masala Dosai meal ($6.20). Cheaper than eating at MacDonald's or KFC because their meal is really big.

Vadai and idly.

Dosai filled with mashed potato and other vegetables like onion and green peas. Delicious~

The sauce dip for the Dosai.

Coconut chuttney, onion chuttney and sambar.

Shopped around Raffles City for a little while. I finally tried the limited edition macarons from Canele, $2.45 each!

Top: Feullitine - Milk chocolate and hazelnut feullitine. Sticky and chewy. Heavenly~

Bottom: Orange Blossom - Candied orange cream perfumed with orange blossom and Grand Marnier. I really really love the flavour, I want to try more!

Bons bons from Donut Factory, Chinese New Year edition. We were offered to get it at $3, usual price is $6 because they are closing soon. Yippee! =P

Cheap dinner with quality.

14 January 2009

Wanted to eat KFC for dinner but I kind of insisted to go Sembawang Shopping Center. I want to try the food at Astons, heard the food is really good and value for money.

Look at what I ordered and definitely cheaper than a two-piece chicken meal from KFC.

Ice plain water at $0.30 per glass.

Utensils...

Hickory BBQ chicken, the name sounds really nice. This is really very good, the chicken is very fragrant and the BBQ sauce is mmm.... The sides are Coleslaw (nice!) and Potato Salad, they use purple skin potato and has a nice fragrant of a spice in it. Must order again if I go Astons next time.

Lemon Lime Chicken, the chicken is very well grilled, delicious! Baked potato is thumbs up, even though it does not have bacon bits. The onion rings are well... just normal onion rings.

Next stop, desserts at MOF.

Chocolate flavour mini soft-serve, $2.80. Argh! I wanted to get Kuromitsu but I wrote the wrong number, both of them look so alike. Taste so normal, I might as well have the Hot Fudge Sundae from MacDonalds and it is cheaper.

Yam and sweet potato imo soft-serve with red bean paste, $5.80. Highly recommended.
