So many online banner artwork to do. So many sizes and variations. Hai~

 photo 02-salmon.jpg

I cooked dinner today! Since I received a piece of salmon...

Pan-fried #salmon with raw sugar and onion. I'm supposed to bake it according to the recipe but there's no oven at boyfriend's place. Smelling good!

Xiao bai cai with crispy shredded pork (from Bangkok) and abalone sauce.

The crispy shredded pork is good for a lot of things, even fried rice. At least boyfriend likes it a lot. If you don't like sweet stuffs then this is not for you.

Boyfriend is not back from work yet. Food has gone cold already and I'm still waiting. *hungry*

13 April 2012

Off to meet my ex-colleagues and boyfriend!

And I prepared chicken rice dinner for everyone while they are still rushing their photoshoot. =)

Bake: Cake mix cookies.

09 April 2012

I have a box of cake mix and a block of chocolate that I didn't really want anymore. I decided to use them to make cookies.

I follow the recipe i found online but I think... this is a fail. Not yummy. Go google for the recipe yourself if you want it.

Cook: Black Vinegar Pig Trotters

03 April 2012

I cooked black vinegar pig trotters today and boyfriend loves it! He even all of it and I had to top up with more pig trotters the next day.

It's really easy to prepare!

Photobucket

Ingredients:
Pig Trotters - 1 leg (hind leg has got more meat and chopped into pieces)
Black Vinegar with a Dog logo - Half of the big bottle
Gula Melaka - 2 to 3 pieces (depending how how sweet you like it to be)
Ginger - quite a lot of it, estimate 10x10cm, sliced
Water
Hard-boiled eggs (optional)

Instructions:
Line the bottom of the pot with ginger and then place the pig trotter inside. This is to ensure that the meat does not stick to the bottom of the pot while cooking.

Place the rest of the ginger and gula melaka in between the pieces of pig trotters. Pour in the black vinegar and add water until it covers the pig trotters.

Turn to small fire and just left it simmer until the sauce is reduced to half.

Turn off fire and add in eggs to soak until flavour is absorbed. Do not let it boil inside, you would not like the egg to be hard. Alternatively, you can scoop out some sauce while the pot is still simmering, to soak the eggs.

Cook: Japanese Curry

02 April 2012

I cooked Japanese Chicken Curry for boyfriend and me for dinner! Nom!

*I prefer using House brand Japanese Curry cubes. Just follow instructions on the packaging. And if you like more curry flavor, just add your usual chicken curry powder until you feel that the taste is good enough for your tastebuds.

Eat: Ssikek Korean Grill BBQ

24 March 2012

Going out for dinner with boyfriend and his friends!

Ssikkek BBQ. Argh! Fat die me ah! Buffet for 2 days.

This is the grill.

Long queue at the food counter.

Meat, meat and meat! I super love the beef strips. Wrap the BBQ meat with lettuce, garlic and some sauce. Ohm nom nom...

Life is good. I'm craving for it again.

Walking the turtle.

22 March 2012

I gave this fellow a good bath and scrub. Gave it some veggies and even bring it out for a walk along the corridor. It can really go quite fast and I had to chase it.

It peed.

Made pasta for lunch!

And this is my usual order at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe, dinner with boyfriend.

Chocolate rice cooker bread.

20 March 2012

Just added chocolate chips to this recipe, add it last.

I didn't managed to take a picture of the bread. It was gone before I remember taking it.

Cook: KFC inspired meltz.

09 March 2012

Used prata as the wrap. Fillings are cheese tofu, cherry tomatoes, bacon bits and mayo. Yum!

Simple dinner for boyfriend and me.

05 March 2012

Just some stir-fry cabbage with bacon.

Onion egg.

Tried making pear soup for the first time, it's a pass!

Cook: Eggs Benedict.

04 March 2012

Frying the bacon! I wanted to get smoked salmon but it's kind of wasteful if there is only the 2 or us eating.

Here's a video of how to poach eggs, detailed with good explanations.

Eggs Benny! I used mayonnaise instead, hollandaise sauce is not really my kind of thing. I got the burger buns from 7-eleven, just cut them into half and toast them a little on the saucepan if you don't have a toaster, no oil needed.

Comes with friend enoki mushrooms and carrot sticks. Boyfriend loved it.

Slurp!

Go on and make some for yourself! It's addictive!

Eat: Kabe no Ana

26 February 2012

Sister treat cousin and me to a meal at Kabe no Ana, I introduced them this place. The thought of their Mentaiko Carbonara just makes me drool and of course, that mentaiko toast too. This place is highly recommended by me!

Ended our meal with Sogurt, we even ask my mum to join in.

Boyfriend came to meet me at NEX and we walked around a little.

I even bought some stingrays to cook for dinner. Hurray! To yummy sambal stingrays!

Cook: Aglio Olio

23 February 2012

Aglio Olio is a really simple dish to do and you can have it at any time of the day. There's no real version of the recipe, it all depends on how you wants yours to be.

The most important ingredients will be olive oil, garlic and dried herbs. If you like it to be a little spicy, add chilli flakes. You can always add other ingredients inside, just make sure that the raw food is cooked. All you have to do is to mix it well.

Simple, right?

Cook: Wanton Mee

21 February 2012

Since I was lazy and there is frozen CP Shrimp Wantons in the fridge, I decided to make myself wanton noodles!

Boil egg noodles in a pot.

Prepare sauce for noodles.
- Fried onions with the oil - 1 tablespoon
- Thick soya sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Light soya sauce - 2 tablespoon
- McDonald's Garlic chilli sauce - 1 packet

Ladle out the noodles after it is cooked and mix well together with sauce.

Blanch some veggies in boiling water and add it to your noodles. I'm using kailan.

Next, boil your wantons in the same water that you have just used to blanch your veggies. Save water and you don't have to wait for it to boil again.

Tadaa! Wanton noodles. Enjoy!

This a a drawing from boyfriend showing how he's using the lint roller on baozi to clean him. Yes, I have defined Baozi as a him. Baozi is my bunny plush, I don't understand why boyfriend drew him like he's a gingerbread man.

More pictures taken around my neighbourhood for your viewing pleasure. =)
