Eat: Kabe no Ana

26 February 2012

Sister treat cousin and me to a meal at Kabe no Ana, I introduced them this place. The thought of their Mentaiko Carbonara just makes me drool and of course, that mentaiko toast too. This place is highly recommended by me!

Ended our meal with Sogurt, we even ask my mum to join in.

Boyfriend came to meet me at NEX and we walked around a little.

I even bought some stingrays to cook for dinner. Hurray! To yummy sambal stingrays!

Eat: Manhatten Fish Market

24 February 2012

I have a one-for-one Manhatten Fish Market Fish and Chips! I usually never step inside the restaurant because I never find the food up to standard but I shall not waste the coupon.

It is a fact that they never fail to disappoint me. The batter is just yuck, it's not thoroughly cooked. Fish was mushy, felt like it was left outside to defrost for a long time.

I'm quite picky with how the fish tastes - muddy, frozen, blar blar... Because my dad always bring fresh fish home, I never complain about the fishy smell, fish should have fish smell. Right? Right??

Cook: Aglio Olio

23 February 2012

Aglio Olio is a really simple dish to do and you can have it at any time of the day. There's no real version of the recipe, it all depends on how you wants yours to be.

The most important ingredients will be olive oil, garlic and dried herbs. If you like it to be a little spicy, add chilli flakes. You can always add other ingredients inside, just make sure that the raw food is cooked. All you have to do is to mix it well.

Simple, right?

We made dinner!

22 February 2012

Boyfriend and I prepared dinner for ourselves!

He fried some salmon belly with garlic and spiced pork cubes with egg.

While I prepared the wanton noodles.

Yeah! Dinner!

Cook: Wanton Mee

21 February 2012

Since I was lazy and there is frozen CP Shrimp Wantons in the fridge, I decided to make myself wanton noodles!

Boil egg noodles in a pot.

Prepare sauce for noodles.
- Fried onions with the oil - 1 tablespoon
- Thick soya sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Light soya sauce - 2 tablespoon
- McDonald's Garlic chilli sauce - 1 packet

Ladle out the noodles after it is cooked and mix well together with sauce.

Blanch some veggies in boiling water and add it to your noodles. I'm using kailan.

Next, boil your wantons in the same water that you have just used to blanch your veggies. Save water and you don't have to wait for it to boil again.

Tadaa! Wanton noodles. Enjoy!

This a a drawing from boyfriend showing how he's using the lint roller on baozi to clean him. Yes, I have defined Baozi as a him. Baozi is my bunny plush, I don't understand why boyfriend drew him like he's a gingerbread man.

More pictures taken around my neighbourhood for your viewing pleasure. =)

iPhone says.

20 February 2012

It was a rainy day and there wasn't much I could do. Decided to make a tissue pouch for myself, that would go perfectly with my purse.

Mint Museum of Toys

19 February 2012

Bringing my valentine's gift out for the first time. =)

Craving for some tofu fries from I Love Taimei.

I bought a deal coupon for the Mint Museum of Toys, have always wanted to come but always didn't have the time to. I forgot how much I paid for it, perhaps a buy-1-get-1 free?

Wooo... Tin robots, me likey.

My boyfriend is non-stop nonsense. Hahhaha!

Now you know why?

Muahahahha!

I shall just post the photos of the toys.

Bugs Bunny.

Tin Tin.

Popeye.

Ultraman.

The is quite a weird combi.

Pinocchio.

Creepy looking ones.

Felix the cat.

Some puppy stuffs.

And so... Darlie toothpaste used to be Darkie.

Had a short break.

Toys made of tin.

Nice robot.

Beetles.

Mini Cars.

That's all for the toys, pretty much glad that the I go the deal. The museum wasn't big and I don't like that huge amount of lights in there, it's so disruptive - too much reflection.

There's this small souvenir shop which you can get some vintage toys at a reasonable price. I do believe you can get them at a even lower price if you know where to look.

Here's a tin carousel that caught my eye.

We had our all-time favourite Supreme Pork Chop Rice for dinner, it was just round the corner.

And did a bit of shopping at Bugis Junction.

I love these hands that hold mine so tightly. I can never let go.

To ION! For some Yami Yogurt.

And tako balls!
