Must be the air.

I've been feeling very super duper grumpy these days, it's so bad. Argh! I think I'm affecting everyone around me.

"Dear Grumpy, please just leave me."

I was going through the list of applications in my MacBook, I forgot what I wanted to open (short term memory) and I found Photobooth! Have not been playing with it for the longest time.

Okay, I'm bringing some photos home, got to update my blog.

Do look out for my new blog posts, they're most probably going to be older posts. =)

Oh-so-heavenly.

27 June 2011

Boyfriend and I decided to explore Balestier for food since we're sick of the usual places and we were definitely not disappointed with our find at all. We somehow landed in Whampoa Food Centre after walking around a little from Shaw Plaza.

Order a plate of Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee since the queue is long, it must be good. Anyway most of the stalls there have long queues.

Smells good and the noodles are not too soft, the chilli is very nice too even though boyfriend and I are not spicy food lovers but the chilli is not too spicy for us.

We also ordered a Fish Head Steamboat with an additional plate of vegetables to share, which we regretted a little because we felt full after having the plate of noodles.

Took back our words and vowed to finish it even if we bust after getting stuffed too much. The fish soup was oh-so-heavenly and worth waiting for 30 minutes, might take even longer during peak hours.

I was stirring and looking at what was used inside the soup, the amount of ingredients used was just crazy. I see pieces of fried fish bones, yam, spices... boiled till almost dissolved, I couldn't remember all of them but I can definitely see that lots of work is needed to make such a good quality pot of soup.

We did give up finishing the soup. Haha! Does get a little too salty at the end when the soup gets dried up with the fire heating underneath.

Will be back for more great food at Whampoa Food Centre another day! Pss.. I hate the fact for not bringing my camera out, it does no justice to good food.

Instant food for two.

26 June 2011

I got a pack of instant curry from Diaso, only have to heat it up in it's packet, pour it out and serve. Since I have leftover rice from last night, I shared with my sis and it's actually enough for two.

Tastes quite good and pretty much satisfied the both of us.

Expressive.

Bought a new top, totally cute.

If you know how many lame jokes boyfriend can tell me in a day, I could just show him the duck on my top because that is just how I feel most of the time.

Angry birds.

24 June 2011

Boyfriend imagined me as an angry bird and drew, he also named it, Lugry Bird.

me: it totally looks like a man, how could it be me?
bf: this is inspired by angry birds and this is how they look, you can't blame me.
me: so ugly!
bf: okay, I will make it prettier.

He wrote '美' (with one missing stroke initially which I corrected him) and 'chio bu' on the bird. Why does he think that these will make it look pretty?

.

This is how I drew him. Much nicer, isn't it?

With or without.

Ribena fried rice at Northpoint's Food Mall, the chicken is a little sweet and sour just like ribena and the fried rice is fragrant.

I think I could do without the ribena chicken anyway.

Just thinking that this is a nice picture to post.

Romantic in the park.

19 June 2011

Excited for the day because Pi and I are going for a date at Henderson Waves! I know it has been there for a long time but it's far to travel from my place.

Quickly finished my bowl of ramen at Beppu Menkan Japanese Noodles, Tiong Bahru Plaza. The ramen was average, nothing special and I thought the price was pretty steep for ramen with this quality. I should have eaten at Eighteen Chefs instead.

Took a bus and walk quite distance before we get to Henderson Waves. It is spectacular, isn't it?

The night scenery we see from the bridge.

One of the temporary food stall in Tiong Bahru Plaza selling Dragon Beard Candy is also selling these candy spring rolls. It has peanut and sugar wrapped inside, easy to make stuff.

There are markings on the floor.

Those lights look like a nice spot to take pictures.

Boyfriend pretends he's a model.

Do some stretching. It tough exercise.

I love his hugs.

Time for a little supper.

I'm a double agent.

Just checking out what's underneath the bridge.
