I went shopping.

31 May 2009

Had lunch with Magdalene but there isn't any pictures taken together with her. Too busy catching up about our lives, I hope I could meet her again soon.

Left early and went shopping. Bwahaha!

The new Shih Lin Sweet Potato Fries taste really nice and it costs $2.50, quite expensive for a small bag of fries.

Ice cream at Gelare was great but I don't quite get what the waiter was talking about. I just wanted to change the flavour of the scoops and he keeps going on about the chocolate combination because of the 'Nutty Chocolate' name. Then cannot change to other flavours but can change the flavour for the other ice cream instead. Like 'what the heck?', I don't see the difference. Haha! Whatever...

I bought a new pair of green slippers from M)phosis, the usual price was $24.90. The slipper was on a 70% off sale, kwakakaka~ Only $7.50! Gonna wear it to my chalet the following weekend.

Good morning.

A birdie perched outside my window this morning! It must be a good day. =)

Nope, don't look at me, you are not coming inside my room.

Pockets burning.

30 May 2009

Armed with her sister's Handy Bag.

Waiting for the train going towards Changi Airport. No, she is suppose to meet somebody first.

Lots of trains just keep going by, she has even finished her Foundations of Accounting 2 homework.

Got too bored, she started camwhoring.

Boyfriend is finally here. Like the cowherd and weaver girl, the stars Altair and Vega high in the night sky, they are separated by the train tracks.

These bad train tracks.

So endless, she couldn't get over.

The train was finally here and both of them went to Singapore Food Fest at Expo. Time for a feast!

Katong Laksa for $3. So-so, the gravy is not thick.

Pineapple fried rice for $2. Where is the pineapple?

Do Do's Seafood Treats, 3 for $2. The bouncy fishcake, cripsy ngoh hiang and the very frangrant pian xiang. Yummilicious!

Shop at the Mega John Little Sale. She got 2 sets of lingerie for only $12 each and a 12 pack box of Orion Choco Pie for only $4.30. All cheap and affordable, she's quite stingy.

Next stop was IKEA. They shared a slice of Apple Pie, the nicely-cooked and soft apples with the oozing apple sauce and the wonderfully thin crust. What a delight!

She got more boxes for her bedroom and she is now busy fixing the boxes and tidying up her bedroom. She did burnt her pockets today. Hmm...

A genius!

29 May 2009

I feel like a genius! I made a collage for my new camera. I don't have photoshop, so I keep alternating between Paint.net and Gimp. Tadaa~ I'm so proud of myself.

Lunch for today was the instant Chicken Bolognese Spaghetti from 7-eleven. I forgot when was the last time I had this, perhaps when I was still in secondary school. Oh well, the spaghetti is overcooked, it was better years ago.

New toy!

28 May 2009

I got myself a new toy for my birthday! I know it is still like 1 week away but I can't wait for it to get into my hands.

My Holga Micro-110, I got it for only USD$10. Yippee! With free worldwide shipping. =)

I wanted to get another camera actually, it's called Diana. The price was a little too steep for me to afford, so I could only settle with the green mini holga since the colour looks pretty much the same too. I just had to curb the temptation.

Now the only problem is that... the 110 cartridge films are hard to get now as the production has stop in 2004. If anyone of you are overseas, do help me get some films back? The other problem is few shops or hardly any develops the films, at least there's one at Burlington Square.

And thanks to my boyfriend for helping me to get it from ebay. I love him to bits.

*Update: Listen to the music video by Jon Schmidt below. I'm loving it. Dear dear, please buy this from iTunes!

Peek-a-boo.

27 May 2009

Sorry! I think I'm too obssessed with my other blog, thus I pretty much have no time to update.

I'm grateful to the curry puff uncle at the bus stop. Thanks to his $2 worth of sardine puffs which is my breakfast, lunch and tea. Kudos! To money saving.

Finally got my bags which I ordered months ago, they sure took long.

I'm sure all of you are curious how room looks like right now, especially my sister. Have a little peek below. =P

One of the bookcase, where my little laptop will stay because my sister will definitely ask me to move away from my own desk! She's very bad, I tell you.

My make-up mirror right at the other bookcase, I feel like a little princess. Haha! Oh, that's the new lamp which I got from ikea too, only $4.90.

Korean yum.

26 May 2009

Had dinner at Seoul Yummy and friends. Being the very clever us, we shared a set meal which costs $16.99++.

Comes with free flow appetizers and a barley tea but we top up $1.50 for the soft drink.

Silver fish, a little hard to chew on but good.

I like this tofu, the chilli sauce is delicious.

Potato with egg, a very nice combination of both. Thumbs up!

Kimchi, a must-have!

Crunchy peanuts.

Cucumber kimchi, cooling and crispy.

Bibimbab, we top up $1 to change it for brown rice and added another bowl of plain rice for $1.50. Asked for more bibimbab sauce too.

The set also has my favourite kimchi mandoo too. Yeah!

*P.S Had an Apple Cinnamon donut from Donut Factory for dessert too. Totally satisfied.

Room revamption.

24 May 2009

Yes, I got my new bookcases and they sure are lovely! Yes, it is $29 each but due to my financial constrains, I could only settle with these.

I got 1 set of these boxes too, to store those little little things. I think I have to get more of these boxes. I'll be going to ikea again soon.

I wanted to buy these willow baskets but the baskets take up too much space and are not able to store too many items.

I had dinner at the ikea restaurant today too and we found out something. It's more worth it if you get 2 sets of the kid's menu meatballs at $2.90 per plate of 5 meatballs. The normal 10 pieces meatball will cost us $6.50. I will be ordering more kid's meal during my next visits. Haha!

I heart SIGNS.

If you have some time now, pause the music player and watch this very short film. It's going to take you 12 minutes but trust me, you won't regret it. I have been watching the film over and over again. Enjoy!

If you think the screen is small you can always head to Patrick Hughes' site to watch the video, he is the director. I wonder who is the actor, he's so handsome and of course the actress is beautiful too.

*Update: Actor is Nick Russell. Watch this TV Ad by him too!

New bookcases.

23 May 2009

I'm going to ikea because I need to get new bookcases for my room. My bedroom is horrendous, too messed up and I couldn't take it anymore.

And of course how could I not have dinner at the ikea restaurant?

I ordered the Mini Fish Burger with Chips from the Kids Menu, it's only $2.90. Haha! So cute, I just want to have a feel of being a kid once again.

Daim Cake, $3.50 per slice. Sinfully chocolatey with lots of caramel.

Had the usual meatballs and chicken wings, I'm already tired of taking pictures of these dishes, I think all of you are sick of it too. Hah!

The bookcase was too heavy, I'm going to make another trip to ikea again tomorrow together with Daddy. Daddy's the best!

Another supper.

19 May 2009

I bought this bread from Queenstown Unicampus and I think this is the best bread I've ever eaten! Cost me $1.20, it was the japanese words on the packaging which attracted me.

The smell of the maple keeps lingering in my mouth and the bread was very soft. I wanted to get 3 more but the shop was already closed after class. Nevermind, I'm going to get more next week!

This time it was supper at the same muslim shop, going to share a Chicken Roti John, packed one-third of it for lunch tomorrow after the experience learnt from last night. Haha! There's lots of chicken chunks, another delicious find. =)

Big supper.

18 May 2009

I was very hungry and so I asked my brother to go down for some supper with me. Just look at what we ordered! Chicken Nasi Briyani, just looking at the big tray of rice will make you full.

Luckily we're sharing, my brother almost could not finish his share too, even though he is a very big eater. Haha! The briyani is really delicious and fragrant, I will go back for more.

Foodie day at JB.

16 May 2009

Lunch cum dinner at Stonegrill.

Chicken Chop with Prawns set, RM19.90. Yasui~ The exchange rate for the day is RM238 to SGD100. Haha!

The chicken chop was dry and a little tough, not marinated with only a little black pepper sprinkled on top. Prawns were fresh with their natural sweetness. Comes with mixed vegetables and fries and there is black pepper sauce and ketchup.

Fried kway teow, RM6. I love how wet the kway teow is, delicious and full of flavour.

Next stop: Wongkok Hong Kong Cafe.

Seriously... I forgot what the drink is called but it's nice.
*Edit: This drink is called, Flamingo Juice.

A cute way to decorate the glass of drink.

Thick toast with peanut butter and sweetened milk. Oishi~ Cripsy toast with creamy and thick peanut butter, I'll be back for more.

Time for some sweet and buttery popcorn to go with my movie.

X-men Origins: Wolverine. Rate it: 5/5.
Action packed, I was not even bored for a minute. Must watch!

New love.

I've been playing with bubblewraps this afternoon, addicted to it. Haha! Everyone can play too on this website. Remember to click on 'Maniac Mode!'.

I'm also currently totally in love with these Marc Jacobs bangles right now.

Such lovelies! *drools*

I need to do something to get more money inside my bank account soon. I can't depend on my job already, totally not enough to pay my bills also. Dang!

Full day seminar.

15 May 2009

Totally don't know what's wrong with me! I forgot to get the receipt from the taxi uncle, $20+ gone, cannot claim... Yesterday also, I never get receipt for $10+ also, I feel so dumb! $40 gone already... *sob sob*

Went to a seminar called "7 Secrets to Direct Marketing" today, full 8 hours at Marina Mandarin Hotel. It was a very interactive, interesting and fun seminar, presented by Jon Maxim and Greg Smith.

Lunch and refreshments included. Sorry, I'm only able to take a picture of my appetizers since no one else is at the table. Haha! They have a very very sinful chocolate cake, luckily I manage to get 2 slices before all of it was gone.

Oh. I have been playing with a photo editor program called, PhotoScape. It's really good and fun! Makes my pictures look very good.
