Malacca - Day 1 (08 August)

12 August 2009

Hi all! I'm back from Malacca, it was certainly a great trip and how I hope I don't have to back so soon. Here goes...

Breakfast at a coffee shop opposite Golden Mile Complex.

This is where I collect my tickets.

The bus ticket.

The bus I'm going to take.

The interior of the bus.

Love these little parts that looks 70s!

Bottles of mineral water provided.

I got VIP seats because the seats were almost full and they only have the VIP seats available. The toilet is just beside me.

Emergency exit on my right. Ahh~ You never know when you will need it. =P

Me at Tuas Causeway, dressed like a student.

A must, to have snacks on the bus.

The hotels I chose and booked, very value for money. Both shopping malls and Jonker Street is just a 10 mins walking distance away from the hotel. Transport fees saved.

The hotel room was very very spacious!

They have bathtubs too, I could do some spa. =)

I decided to load my mini-holga with the newly-bought films.

This is how the film looks like.

The back.

And loaded!

Killed a roll of film while trying to find out how to use it.

Vintage train, while on the way to the shopping center.

Lunch at US Pizza.

Singapore's Pizza Hut has got no Tabasco sauce, Malaysia's pizza restaurants has it! Stingy Singapore Pizza Hut.

Very generous with the ingredients and the crust was crispy, I could finish the whole pan pizza myself. I craving for it right now.

This lasagna is very good, it's wet and not dry. I love it wet and loads of chewy mozarella cheese.

Lots of minced beef.

Seacoconut and longan drink.

Tea egg.

Love tat car in the shop.

Mixed fruits, $3. Has lots of apples and grapes.

Champagne grapes, juicy and tiny grapes. RM2.50 for a small pack.

Granduncle (三叔公) lives there. Haha! It's just a confectionery shop.

Night markets at Jonker Walk.

Bed and breakfast.

Orangutan House.

Some nice and cosy bar.

Piss and Peace.

Enormous pineapple tart.

Seriously, don't think I'm joking when I say the Malaysians in Malacca is very rich, alright?

Volkswagen mini-bus. So cute!

Another Volkswagen. Two Volkswagen within 5 minutes walking distance, can you believe it?

So well polished, I didn't dare to touch it.

Dinner at A'Farmosa Chicken Rice stall.

Coconut juice to bring down the heat.

Herbal Jelly, gui ling gao.

The famous chicken rice balls.

Roast chicken.

Nothing much special with the chicken rice, the chicken is dry and not tender at all. I think the chicken rice near my house is much better. I wanted to go for the chicken rice at the other stall which was much better but it was closed.

There's an emperor's seat inside the chicken rice restaurant.

Night view of the Malacca river.

Some buys of the day.

Earrings, 4 for RM10.

Vintage-looking rings

FaceShop nail polish, RM3.90 each, very cheap!

And I love this. My new jumper. =)

Sick.

11 August 2009

I really want to blog about my Melaka trip but I'm down with a fever. This feeling is not good at all, lots of headaches and I keep feeling cold.

I need to go back to sleep already, couldn't take it anymore.

Ruined pasta.

06 August 2009

Lunch at Kenny Rogers.

Never liked their muffins, too soggy and it tastes weird. Bleagh.

Quarter Roast Chicken, $12.90 with mash potato and coleslaw. I seriously personally think that Kenny Rogers is too 'healthy' for me.

Whenever I see Kenny Rogers I think of the very bad service I received at Genting Highlands, TWICE. Oh well...

Just cooked some pasta for tomorrow's lunch.

I think I got too hyper, it was suppose to taste like Japanese pasta. There's miso and cha soba sauce, then I added chicken franks, crabsticks, cherry tomatoes and egg. Thinking that the ingredients wasn't enough, I added a can of sardines. Totally spoil the taste even though it smells quite good. There goes my ruined lunch, it's a little too salty too.

Has anybody seen the new Ikea catalog? Woo~ I love that shocking pink sofa.

Of lace and ice.

05 August 2009

{via resurrection fern}

I wish Singapore is snowing right now, yeah now.

Muffin makes my teeth black.

Sesame muffin from Muji for breakfast, does not taste like the usual muffins, kind of weird.

It's all about food.

03 August 2009

A little lazy to blog, I'll just let the pictures do more of the talking. Oh, please do grab some food before you read this post.

From Four Leaves, ham egg soft sandwich. I think they fry the bread with butter or margarine, smell of it is quite heavy for me.

Lunch at Sushi Tei, thanks to Peisan.

My memory fails me sometimes.

Mr Bean soya milk and cholocate pancake, only $2.50 because I have the coupons.

In celebration of National Day.

Supper at Killiney, I had a...

Penang Fried Kway Teow. Just these two items costed me $6.40, I should have gone to MacDonalds instead.

A light midnight snack.

Funny experience.

02 August 2009

Dinner at LJS. I seriously do not know that the potato chips add-on include cheese dip, I even ordered another cheese dip. That was so fattening, what a waste of money.

I left my stack of notes at LJS, stupid me only realise it after I got home. Dangz! I asked my brother to go back to LJS with me and I treat him a pack of seaweed shaker fries. Just don't want to go back there all by myself.

The unbelievable thing was... the notes were still on the table which I left at, nobody dared to sit at the table. I've been away for about 2 hours and thought that the staffs will keep it until I go back to ask for it. Weird~

Changed my blog layout as I was sick of the black background. Don't you love the white background now, looks so much cleaner and relaxing. I still have further changes to be made but it stay like that for a bit till I have the time to do it. Not bad huh? I changed everything within 2 hours, so proud of myself. *Grins*

Daisy says Hello!

I bet all of you miss Daisy! I haven't blog about her for quite some time and she's definitely getting closer to me. =)

You want some snacks?

Daisy loves her pellets.

She loves her greenies, such a good girl.

What about a red one? (Daisy: Hmm... this looks suspicious.)

Nom nom nommm...

Daisy: I want more, where did you hide them?

A little pat for the good girl.

She's a cutie. *Muackies*

She's so gentle, her nails didn't scratch me. Her feet was tiny and soft, feels good. Hehe.

Getting squashed in Mustafa.

01 August 2009

Off to Mustafa after work, it's my first time going there together and since I didn't really want to shop for new clothes, I decided to go there and explore even thought there are going to be a lot of Indians there today.

Starting walked from Litte India MRT Station. I'm quite sad because I forget to bring my SD card, thus I'm not able to take any pretty pictures with my camera. Lucky there's always my handphone with me.

Lovely colors painted on the shophouse.

Stop by a Indian restaurant and decided to have dinner there, ordered a Chicken Briyani.

An egg and a chicken drumstick hiden inside the rice.

A plate of chappati, seriously... this is my first time having chappati and it's yummy.

With a cup of ice milo.

I bought another 2GB SD card for myself, it's only $10.90 anyway. I wouldn't mind an extra memory card. Now my camera is back to life!

They carry cartoons that old too. Wow!

This is me.

Found this dim dum place very near Mustafa, seems like it's quite famous since the restaurant is filled with lots of patrons. There are picture of celebrities too.

Bought a Cha Siew Su (BBQ pork pastry) for $0.80 which was fragrant and definitely delicious!

And also a piece of carrot cake, also $0.80. It smells really heavenly and the sides are crispy, I'm already craving for more. I will be back for more dim sum!

A big bowl of syrup peaches for midnight snack.

I love the bunnies on this t-shirt, cute bunnies.
