I'm a tourist in Singapore.

08 December 2008

This post is going to be quite long, images will take time to load, please be patient. Delayed posting of post, cause it's gonna be a long one...

I'll start with Daisy for the day, my rabbit which looks like a puppy. Cute right?

Suspicious looking eyes...

She's licking my knee because she wants food. Daisy loves me, hehe...

I got a pack of dark chocolate rocher. Yeah~

Even the packaging looks attractive.

Tadaa! It's really nice but a little too expensive.

Reached Chinatown, all of you must be thinking why I'm going there, such an uninteresting place. I got some dim sum snacks from Tiong Bahru Rhu Pau shop at People's Park Complex Hawker Center.

These will be our lunch while I walk over to Red Dot Museum. =)

Yummies!

Meat pau, must have!

Passed by Maxwell Food Centre. Decided to get some delicious 'hum chim peng' from the D.I.Y stall, 6 for $1. =) Customers have to fry the 'hum chim peng' themselves.

I love salty ones more than red bean 'hum chim peng'.

'Hum chim peng' must always go together with a soya bean drink. Haha!

That's the Red Dot Museum, just diagonally opposite Maxwell Food Centre. The whole building is red with me in the picture.

Red Dot Design Awards. Nah~ I'm not here for the exhibits. =P

Huang Bi Yan, the lady who writes lyrics for Andy Lau in the past. She sings really well and has very good vocals. Nah~ I'm not here for her too.

Here's what I'm here for! Maad market! See details here. It's like a flea market but the items sold here are handmade by the designers themselves. Opens on every first weekend of the month, I love the things they sell. Totally mesmerized~

Here's what I bought, a red iPod pouch with an apple on it. Apple pouch for my Apple iPod, lol~ The shop is called ivbelongings.

And also a pair of flower earrings. Cuteness!

Candy from the pretty designer. =)

Ipod garskin from Shuffle Art, only $10. They also sell skins for Macbook (set) , priced from $49.90 onwards. See their designs here.

My ipod has new clothes, ahhh~ so totally me...

I'll show some of the cool designs from the exhibit, feels good walking around while Huang Bi Yan is singing.

Very very cool bathtub!

The bathrub shows the water temperature, love the colours of the lights. Just go there and try turning on and off the bathtub, the lights are damn cool!

Moss pencil, I find these very funny.

Description:

Another bathtub, prettiness~

My kitchen shall look like this in future. =)

Saw these red letterboxes on my way out of the museum, where can I get one of them? Would like to put one in my own future house.

Nice picture of the red dot museum.

Decided to walk all the way from Chinatown to City Hall. Crazy but really fun, haven't walked like this for a long time. Feels good.

A picture of the famous Indian temple. Haha... Told you I'm a tourist in Singapore today.

Colourful shophouses.

Tall office buildings.

Singapore river.

A pair of pigeons beside Singapore river.

More tall buildings beside Singapore river. The shortie is Fullerton Hotel.

Fat birdie statue, has been there ever since I'm a small little baby. I think it represents peace?

Me! Me! Me!

Notice from the police. By the way, we do not have cattle and horses on the streets now.

Pretty bushes outside Marina Square, they look like snow has fallen on them.

Drinkable mango pudding, $2.30. Taste like real mango but I don't like the sugar substitute which they use in it.

Sesame Street, too bad I missed the show. =(

Christmas trees hanging from the ceiling of Suntec City.

A big Christmas tree outside Suntec.

I finally got to try ice cream from Marvelous Cream! (link)

Lots of variety of ingredients which they will mix inside our ice cream.

The counter which they will mix the ice creams on.

Chocolat Sienne, $4.90 for junior cup and I have to add another $1.50 for the chocolate waffle. Has got chocolate chips, brownie and fudge mixed together. Delicious and chocolaty!

Then it was dinner at Toastbox, have to go for affordable food since I've already spent quite a lot of money.

Ice milo.

Laksa 'mee tai mak', thick and fragrant gravy~

Otah toast.

Soft boiled eggs.

Crack them out of the shells.

This is how you eat toast with soft boiled eggs. lol =P
