Eat Ruyi

19 November 2011

Boyfriend is craving for the delicious braised meat rice that we had during the Taiwan 100 celebration. The best option I could find is Ruyi, a fastfood outlet opened by Tung Lok.

We ordered the set meals that consists of the main, a side and a drink at $8.90.

The logo is cute and inviting.

Zha Jiang Mian (Minced Meat Noodle), I feel it is dry, lacking sauce and the noodles lump together. Quite disappointed. Tung Lok, seriously?

Ru Rou Fan (Braised Meat Rice), does not taste like the one we had during the celebration.

The sides we ordered were dumplings, one hot and spicy and the other is sour and spicy.

I find the dumplings yucky. The skin is too mushy and the filling inside was mushy too. What was I eating? I can make better dumplings.

To conclude, the food is a total waste of money and not of standard. You could just choose to get your calories from McDonald's instead.

Forgot my camera, so I'm not able to take any pictures of the X'mas decorations along Orchard Road. =(
