It has been a long day in school, as you can see from the picture below. Yes, it's true.
Went to look for Mummy after school and treat her to dinner at Eighteen Chefs.
Root Beer Battered Fish and Chips - $13.90, comes with soup of the day and garlic toast.
The fish has a tinge of sweetness which comes from the root beer batter, delicious! Fish was not dry and definitely thick, not like the 'very slim fish' that some restaurants serve. The mushrooms inside the soup was chunky and not too buttery. Thumbs up!
I ordered a 'Be Your Own Chef!' pasta, with spicy garlic sauce, mushrooms and chicken slices. Made it a combo for $2.50 which consists of a drink and a scoop of ice cream.
Here's something I must tell all of you:
- Must calculate the ingredients properly, it saves you a little money.
- Let's say if I choose the Chicken Slices as the main ingredient first then the mushrooms as optional ingredient, it would cost me $10.
- So I choose mushrooms as main ingredient and chicken slices as optional ingredient, I only have to pay $9.50. Yeah! I saved $0.50! =P
By the way, they are really generous with the ingredients. I regreted ordering the pasta when I was finishing the Fish and Chips, I felt pretty full even after sharing it with Mummy. Gave up on the spaghetti and I stuffed myself with the chicken and mushrooms. The chicken slices were tender and should I say 'smooth'?
Here's my scoop of chocolate ice cream.
Just threw my diet plan in the drain today. Oops!
