Food Fairs are Fabulous!

11 July 2009

There was a food fest at Novena Square and it's time for lunch. The curry fishballs were fabulous!

Kuehs from Ivin's, there's udang, kueh Kosui and coconut. I miss the kueh kosui from Bollywood already.

A cup of Grypton's Lemon Ginger Mint tea at Donut Factory.

They are giving away 2 free donuts for any drinks ordered, 11am till 2pm daily.

Did you go to the Hokkaido Fair at Tampines? I missed the one at Scotts Isetan, so I had to go to Tampines, it's from 3 to 12 July. Something not to be missed!

The largest sushi roll I've ever seen! I wasn't able to get their bento, it was too expensive at $25 and above.

Now, everyone say "Itadakimas!", it's time for lots of yummy pictures!

The bag says Pullman Bakery.

Danshaku Potato Curry Bun, $2.80 each, buy 3 get 1 free.

It's crispy-crunchy on the outside and bursts with curry when you bite into it. Definitely, Oishi!

Next! Mori No Ikameshi (Seasoned Squid with Glutinous Rice), $6.80 per box.

The squid is stuffed with glutinous rice and braised in a special sweet soy sauce. Not tough to chew on and it is one of my favourites!

Hot steam buns from KATO SUISAN, they are famous for their Taraba Crab Bun also known as On Ni Kan Bo, tucked inside the warm soft bun is a whole sumptuous flesh of a crab's leg. One of these buns costs $13.20, so please do not think that the one I'm having is crab bun.

This is a scallop with pasta sauce bun, only $3.

The bun is soft and the ingredients used is generous. Thumbs up!

This is the Fruit Omlette from CHE MIU which I have been eyeing for, ever since I saw the advertisement. Definitely value for money, although it is $4 each. I almost went to heaven at the first bite. The omelette was soft with lots of cream and fruits inside. Ahh~ I'm glad I did not choose to forego it.

If there is going to be another Hokkaido Fair, I will make sure that I attend it again and save up more money for those yummy-looking bentos. Oh, please come again soon!
