Happy birthday to Shuhui.

11 January 2009

Celebrated Shuhui's birthday, we decided to cook our own feast at Helen's house. The last time we did this was during secondary school days, how memorable~

We went marketing, I mean super-marketing at Northpoint and bought a lot of ingredients.

Helen prepared two dishes:
I don't know what this salad is called, has tofu, zucchini, tomato and cheddar cheese. Too cheesy for me.

Broccoli with mushrooms stir-fry.

These two dishes were prepared by Helen's dad because he heard we are going over, so he cooked some fried rice.

And beef soup! This is really good!

Japanese curry, I helped with the cutting and cropping. It was then, I notice Helen's knife is not sharp at all, we had a pretty hard time.

I cooked pasta.

And the sauce... cooked with leftover veggies, we even went to the supermarket again to get hotdogs. Yeah, drinks too, cause we totally forgot about our drinks.

Baked pasta with mozarella cheese.

Baked curry. Woo~ I love the sticky and chewy cheese.

Look at our spread! Almost finish...

Next up, chocolate fondue. Don't buy cheap chocolate chip next time, especially Van Houton. The chocolate crumps together and doesn't melt.

We decided to get another brand of chocolate, asked Wenqing and Helen to drag Shuhui to go and get it. While Serene and I did a little 'surprise' when they are not around

Her slice of birthday cake from Bakerzin, Foret Noir (Black Forest).

With her special birthday candle, I forgot to get the candle. =P Not bad huh!

Happy Birthday to Shuhui, our Da Jie!

Time to open up her presents~

While we are still waiting for the chocolate to melt...

Honeydew, very juicy~

All 5 of us, you have no idea how many times we retake the picture. We're showing 1 to 5, Shuhui the oldest and Wenqing the youngest. Haha~

Guess what we did after cleaning up?

.
I brought a box sparklers! We went down to play, woohoo~ Look at the birthday girl, so happy.

I'm not in the picture. You can see Wenqing is afraid of the 'sparks'.

Nice sparkles! *love*
