Back to school.

31 August 2009

We're going to school school school~ It's Teacher's Day! =D

I miss the food in school, wanton mee for lunch. The wantons weren't fried 7 years ago.

We joined the celebration! Teachers coming up!

They're in...

The mumbling mouseketeers. Can't.hear.what.they.are.singing... Can you believe it, there was about 3 or 4 group singing on stage before them. Kind of boring huh?

Thumbs up to this group, they were dancing to Super Junior's Sorry Sorry. They've got pretty good moves.

This malay girl is from Sec 1, she was singing Miley Cyrus' The Climb. Good vocals!

All the teachers go up on stage.

Mr Botak Principal, he was our longest principal even since we were in Sec 2? Like 10 years in NVSS already.

After the students have dispersed...

The two women played the piano.

That's us.

We have a vision to serve.

Off to the school library, Shuhui starts looking for book. The books are still the same as those 7 years ago, no new books. I don't think any students will go to the library anyway.

Say Cheeze~

The library head is a guy, it has always been ladies. The library looks sad now, too quiet and lonely. Is there even a student librarian around?

Shh....

The books that we used to wrap and tag nicely, each and every one of them. I do not think anybody has changed the wrappers or the tags before.

We start taking pictures of each other. Shuhui pretends to read.

I join in.

It says, "WARNING! Too much schooling can damage your health."

Shuhui needs to learn the basics of phototaking. First, you switch on the camera here. Second, you press this button to take photos...

She starts trying to finding nice angles to take pictures of us.

Wenqing reading.

Serene is reading too.

I look emo.

Vintage Malacca.

Here are the photos I''ve taken with my mini-Holga while I was in Malacca. Enjoy!

Christ Church and the decorated trishaw.

Malacca River.

I love red postboxes.

Taken in a shop selling vintage items.

Vintage signboards.

Peace.

The making of pineapple tarts.

Peranakan tiles.

Bugis with Mummy.

30 August 2009

Off to Bugis with Mummy and I've collected my photos, they're wonderful. Just wait for me to scan them and I'll post tthem up soon!

Mummy wanted to get some old coins and a gold bell for better fengshui at home.

Me while mummy was trying on some clothes, if you have noticed... Yes, I've got bangs. Don''t you think it's cool?

Mummy treat me to lunch-cum-dinner at Hip Diners, there's a one-for-one offer for main course now. How could we give it a miss?

Seafood Skillet, nothing much special but it's pretty good.

Must-have American Meat Loaf! My fave!

My sister join us after her work and I treat them to some ice cream. =)

I want my photos!

29 August 2009

It has been a boring Saturday at work. Everybody is out playing but I still have to work.

{Watch - from Malacca, Gold Bangle - heirloom from Grandma}

I've finally developed my films taken with my mini-holga, going to collect it tomorrow. I can't wait to see the photos!

Bought a lot of snacks from the Korean Supermart at Burlington Square while I was there to develop the photos. The prices are pretty attractive and that was why I got so many snacks.

I got a chocolate muffin from Bliss Haven, it's delicious but a little dry.

Hershey's Milk Chocolate with Almonds bar.

Big letters! ABC...

Look at the row of almonds! I love almonds.

Adventure in town.

26 August 2009

Nobody will believe what I had for dinner...

Swensen's Ice Cream Buffet, it was on a 1-for-1 promotion... Luckily, the ice cream buffet includes cakes too, if not I'll be very very hungry.

That's just all the food I could only fill with. KO-ed within 30 minutes and it's not something to go crazy over.

The restaurant is too small and squeezy, the lanes were only enough for 1 person to pass through. The seat which was near the windows, there was this very GLARING spotlight fix below at the side, it makes my eyes painful. I had to use my foot to step on the spotlight and cover it.

There's quite a lot of variety of ice creams, toppings and pastries but not as awesome as I thought it should be, maybe my expectation is too high. Pastries were just normal, I think the bakery near my house has better cakes. Total fail.

I must get some salty food to clear all that sugar in my mouth, tried the Tofu Burger from R Burger. Just the burger itself will cost $3.80, set meals cost $8.80.

The bun sticks to my teeth after every bite, it gets kind off irritating trying to remove them from my teeth. I don't know why people are raving over this burger, I rather spend more money and eat at Carl's Junior instead. At least, it has helped to clear all the taste of sugar.

Then I went for a Taiyaki - German Potato, $2.60. I fell in love with it! Crispy on the outside with generous fillings of potato, cheese and bacon. Must try!
