Oops! I'm spending again.

28 February 2009

Had dinner at Shokudo, Japanese Pasta and Pizza, it's my first time in Shokudo.

Shiitake mushroom tempura, $5.80. The shiitake mushroom is fried till cripsy and this starter sure is delightful. The wasabi mayo sauce is not spicy and adds more taste to the shiitake mushrooms.

Kinoko bacon ham, $14.80. The thick creamy tomato cream sauce was simply mouthwatering, with slices of ham and assorted mushrooms. Must-have!

Beef Stew Miso Ni, $14.80. The ingredients were big and chunky, how generous of them! Beef was stewed in wafu miso stock till tender, even the carrots and potatoes are soft and full of flavour.

Buses that rain.

26 February 2009

Do you know why I hate taking SMRT buses to work? For your knowledge, there are only SMRT buses at the bus stop.

It rains in the bus because of the aircon, sometimes water pour down on your head. Eww~ Disgust.

Just take a look at this! It is going to drop off soon! Isn't it time the management starts looking in to the matter? And what if it just drops on someone's head? We paid so much for the bus fares and why are they not doing proper repairs?

Closer view. It is dirty inside, imagine the water dripping right on your hair which you have just washed this morning.

Finally received my Dior.

25 February 2009

I finally received the items which I bought from Fr3b's Private Sale! Just look at the date stamped on the package, 20 Dec 2008. I have been waiting for 2 months plus to get the package because Singpost has been giving me loads of problems.

Love my Christian Dior items~!~ 7 items and I think it cost around $35 including registered mail. I seriously need them to save my skin.

The other items which comes together in the package, totally free! BRTC BB cream, this brand really good.

T-Zone face wash, moisture lotion and exfoliating wash.

Gatsy face oil absorption sheets and Witch face wash.

What a good deal! But 2 months is really long...

The Season of 'Pau'.

24 February 2009

'Pau' for breakfast again, Ko Lo Pau today. Told you it's the season of the 'pau'

This is better than Char Siew Pau, the meat is tender but the bun is still tough.

Our 'baka' photographer made this masking tape doll. It looks so much like a voodoo doll, so we have to 'destroy' it by poking needles onto the doll. This voodoo doll does not work anyway.

Tough breakfast.

23 February 2009

Char Siew Pau for breakfast while I was on my way to work. I think I'm going to have 'pau' everyday because my dad says he is going to get more today before I leave for work. -_-"

This 'pau' is only 4cm and it costs $.90. I could get a bigger pau for $0.60. Dad say the 'pau' is handmade, so it is more expensive.

Chunky bits of 'Char Siew'. The bun is tough when it is cold and the meat is chewy.

I'm dyed.

22 February 2009

Bought a new bag for $34. Woohoo~!~

Macarons from Bakerzin, $5 for 6 pieces. It's on offer now!

Sakura flavour, nothing much. Is it really Sakura?

I seriously don't know what flavour is this, tastes kind of weird.

Lemon, not bad.

Coffee, finally something tasty!

Yuzu (different breed of orange, like mandarin orange?), this is the best among all flavours! Must-have!

I've dyed my hair and also highlighted it but it is not obvious. My mum's hard work and it is free, I only have to buy the hair dye. =P

Wasabi Tei, Japanese cuisine.

21 February 2009

Sarah and I went sourcing for a location for photoshoot, nicely furnished apartments. I'm looking forward to the location shoot!

We went shopping at Far East Plaza, Sarah bought a lot of things at Watsons, I was amazed! Shall not elaborated on that or else I will be dead.

I bought the sponge thingy, it is suppose to shave arm hair. I'm quite a hairy person okay? Full-stop...

Lunch at Wasabi Tei.

Pay $2 if you are not going to order any food, plus you must at least get a drink. From what Sarah said, the boss sounds scary. There are only 2 person in the shop, the boss who is also the chef and his wife who serves food and washes the dishes.

You would want to have your order taken at one go, the menu stated one would be charge an additional 20% for re-ordering.

Opening hours. Please queue up early if you don't want to wait for 1 to 2 hours and also note that there are only 16 seats around the counter in the shop (really tiny shop).

We reach the shop at 12.30pm, damn... We had to queue for 1 hour or so until some of the customers leave the shop.

Ocha, green tea. It's free flow, I don't dare to drink to much if not there wouldn't be enough space for good food.

The complimentary dish of Braised Seaweed with Beancurd Skin and Chicken. Those black coloured stuff may look taunting but it is just seaweed. Served hot with a tint of sweetness, the chicken is braised till tender. I want more!

Another appetizer, some kind of seaweed and it is damn slimy... I'm not good with slimy food but I still manage to slurp it down my throat. Sour as it has got vinegar. Slimy and sour? Hmm...

Chawanmushi filled with lots of shitake mushrooms, chicken and thick strands of vermicelli. The chef sure is generous with the servings!

Very very thick slices of Salmon Sashimi, each mouthful of sashimi slice feels heavenly! The chef doesn’t wear glove for food preparation but the license outside his shop shows 'A', I guess it should be alright.

Fragrant bowl of steamy rice.

Teriyaki salmon, $10 for this set meal. The salmon was a little charred but it smells good. Just look at the serving, it is not like some restaurants that serves thin slices of salmon.

Camera went out of battery, my handphone is just as good.

Unagi, $28 for this set as it includes a plate of salmon sashimi. Again, it is the whole unagi, not just half of it! Satisfying~

Miso soup.

Strawberries from Korea, 2 boxes for $7 only! Ying Ying, are you jealous of me? I got strawberries and daddy paid for it!

Photoshoot 'rocks'.

17 February 2009

Photoshoot has started. Let's just hope that we will still be alive after 2 months.

We're still warming up a little. *Sigh* Trying my best to reach office early everyday from now onwards. Please stop lazing on the bed! Haiz~

Ikea chocolate.

16 February 2009

Block of dark chocolate from Ikea, only $1.80!

The ingredients show that there is more chocolate than sugar, so it must be good for my body. Lower risk of heart attack, I wonder if I will gain weight. Hmm...

Bollywood Day.

15 February 2009

This is the place, Bollywood's Poison Ivy Bistro. A pretty nice place I found online. =)

Walk down this pathway, that's the signboard to the entrance of the bistro.

Just walk in a little bit more and you will see the bistro, even though it doesn't really look like one from outside.

The counter which we will need pay at after eating.

They sell fresh organic vegetables at the counter too, got kang kong, lime, chilli, bittergourd...

Nice colourful ceiling of the bistro.

Interior of the bistro.

Seating outside, it was quite hot so we sat inside instead.

Table number 12. The sign says, "Poison Ivy has a no MSG, low salt cooking style..."

Ordered loads of food! I love~

Tall wine glass: Aloe Vera drink, $2.50.
Short glass: Lemongrass tea, $2.00.
I think the Aloe Vera and Lemongrass is fresh from the farm.

Warrior's Chicken Curry, $4.00. The curry is really fragrant with lots of spice inside, tastes really good even though it is low salt, unbelievable!

Sambal sweet potato leaves, $4.00, a Today's Special. The sambal chilli isn't too hot for me.

Tauhu Goreng, another Today's Special, $4.00. I think this is my favourite dish among all. The egg toufu is really soft and boucy (of course not made by them) and the sauce is not too sweet and the taste is unforgettable. Yums!

Fragrant brown rice, $1.50.

Bowl of Fries, $4.00. The fries were nicely fried, crispy and not soggy fries. No salt added, I think it is better than MacDonald fries.

Carrot cake with mushrooms, $4.00. This taste more like yam cake to me, it is moist and there are chunks of mushrooms inside.

That's me!

3-in-1, $7.50, consists of Banana Bread, Kueh Bingkar and Kueh Kosui.

Kueh Kosui, melts in your mouth. Damn good! I finish all of it, hehe...

Banana bread, I find it a little too buttery, I don't really like buttery stuffs.

Kueh Bingkar, too dry and a little hard to swallow, we still finish it anyway.

Managed to finish everything because the dishes are really delicious. Most dishes are priced at $4.00 each for the small potion, quite reasonable. The whole meal only cost $32. =)

Paid $2 each to take a little stroll around the farm.

Back to Nature is the Future.

Make Gardens Not War.

The spice area.

Horse Radish Tree.

Mangosteen Tree. Me loves mangosteen!

Sweet potato, had their leaves for lunch just now.

I'm in a guava tree field.

Who wants coffee?

Woot! Chocolatey~

Very big bunch of baby bananas!

Figgy Fig. Lol...

A mini lake.

Even the toilet also very nice. Haha! Look at how welcoming the entrance is.

The ladies...

Basin area.

Open air type of toilet, not bad right? The toilet is very clean by the way.

Waiting for the shuttle bus, Kranji Express, it fetches people around Kranji Countryside. Time interval is 1hr 30mins. I recommend calling a cab instead. The Shuttle bus is hot inside and took us 30mins to just get to the MRT station.

See me inside the mirror? Haha!

Ended the day with a movie, "The Other End of the Line". I told you it's a Bollywood Valentine's Day, hahaha! Nice movie, rated it: 4.5/5. Hilarious and also touching. Shriya is very pretty, make me envious and Jesse very handsome also. Ahh~
